I liked the idea of a character who spends her time tinkering, fixing, and adjusting instead of chasing big moments. The workshop feels busy and lived-in because creativity usually is. Something is magical about her work that allows her to bend time.

Baseball, but in a world with airships and steam trains. Familiar, weird, and just meant to be fun.

This painting started with a simple question: what if baseball took place in a slightly stranger world? One where airships float overhead, trains roll by, and the game feels more like an adventure than a competition.

This painting shows Aslan standing over the broken Stone Table after defeating death. I’ve always been drawn to this moment in The Chronicles of Narnia because the victory doesn’t come with spectacle. It’s already been decided.

The Stone Table lies shattered beneath him, not as a sign of destruction, but of finality undone. Aslan’s posture isn’t defensive or triumphant, it’s confident. The kind of confidence that comes from knowing the hardest part is already over.

This piece is about victory that doesn’t need to shout. Strength rooted in sacrifice. Hope that feels settled, not fragile

Ancient samurai were defined as much by discipline and respect as by skill. This painting leans into those ideas through controlled posture, intentional color, and layered texture. The figure stands as a study in focus and restraint, strength held in reserve rather than on display.

Sail Away is a nocturnal seascape built around contrast and motion. Warm orange sails cut through cool blues as a ship passes beneath a luminous moon. The ship reads almost like a flying form, lifted by wind and momentum rather than bound to the sea, hinting at adventure, independence, and the pull of distant horizons.

Nature has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? This June, a fierce storm swept through Bemidji, destroying homes, wrecking yards, and leveling the trees.

In the aftermath, I felt compelled to capture the magic of trees, which led me to create my latest piece.

Introducing “The Golden Aspen Grove,” a vibrant celebration of resilience and beauty. The aspen trees, with their striking white trunks and fiery autumn leaves, stand tall against a backdrop of deep greens and blues. This piece reflects not just the aftermath of the storm, but also the hope that comes with new beginnings.
